Letter from the director

Our first two batches of PrimeRad MSK MRI Radiology Fellowship were a huge success, we thank the amazing faculty for their support and great presentations. Special thanks to the core team for answering all the delegates' questions promptly. We also deeply appreciate the enthusiasm and dedication of our delegates, whose participation has made batches successful.

Building on this success, we are excited to announce the launch of our Spring Summer batch. PrimeRad MSK MRI Radiology Fellowship is a unique opportunity for qualified radiologists and trainees in the field of radiology to gain comprehensive exposure from the best minds in radiology from around the world. Fellows get an opportunity to solve 250+ case studies and compare their reports with the faculty's expert reports. Additionally, fellows can also see a detailed video of the faculty explaining their observations. This fellowship focuses on 5 MSK areas and spans over 150+ hours of intensive learning, spread across 6 months. To ensure continuous support, the fellowship includes virtual doubt-clearing sessions and dedicated online forums. Even after the program's completion, faculty members remain committed to providing ongoing guidance and assistance.

In Case Reading Session, fellows will actively engage with DICOM case studies under the direct guidance of faculty. Fellows will present and explain their observation to the faculty thereby allowing immediate feedback and corrections which significantly improve the accuracy and precision of fellows’ reporting skills.

MSK Module 1: Knee
  • Functional MRI anatomy and biomechanics
  • Understanding of MRI protocols and sequences
  • Menisci - normal appearances, pitfalls and pathology; meniscal tears - diagnosis and terminologies
  • Cruciate - anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments
  • Collateral ligaments - medial and lateral complex and posterolateral and posteromedial corners
  • Patellofemoral joint - Normal joint morphology; patellar dislocation; mal tracking; quadriceps and patellar tendon
  • Bones and cartilage - covering osteochondral lesions and osteoarthritis
  • Joint-based pathologies - covering PVNS, inflammatory arthritis and others
  • Post-operative knee - meniscal, cruciate, patellofemoral, cartilage surgeries - with surgeon's perspectives!
  • Understanding of patterns of sports injuries - acute and overuse-related
  • How to report knee MRI - giving high-quality reports, avoiding misses and making a difference?
MSK Module 2: Shoulder
  • Functional MRI anatomy and biomechanics
  • MRI protocols, sequences, MRI and CT arthrograms, and ABER
  • Rotator cuff pathologies - general concepts, types of tears, and muscle quality grading
  • Rotator interval, including LHB tendon
  • Labro-ligamentous pathologies, including labral variants, SLAP tears and nomenclature
  • Combined pathologies covering shoulder instability and dislocations
  • Bone and cartilage abnormalities, including OA, inflammatory arthropathies, and cuff arthropathy

  • Labral pathologies, including Femoro-acetabular impingement
